ABOUT OUR LEAD AUDITOR PHILIP BRALSFORD CEng MIMMM MWeldI MMet MBA

Philip is a highly accomplished, accredited metallurgist, engineer and expert in welding technology & quality management professional, with decades of industry experience. With a distinguished academic background, including a Diploma in Metallurgy (DipMet) at Distinction grade & a Master of Metallurgy (MMet) in Advanced Metallurgy from the University of Sheffield, his career has been marked by significant contributions to leading engineering firms such as British Steel, Sheffield Forgemasters and Corus, where he has played a pivotal role in research, quality management, quality control, product development, steelmaking and the implementation of innovative solutions.

Philip is also a highly accomplished Lead Auditor, having successfully completed several hundred quality management & manufacturing certification audits across the world in the concrete reinforcing steels sector for the Certification Authority for Reinforcing Steels (CARES), as well as in the UK in the steel construction sector for the Steel Construction Certification Scheme (SCCS.) His international audit standard expertise covers: ISO 9001; BS EN 1090 (UKCA & CE Marking standard); ISO 3834, BS EN ISO 14731 & the CARES Scheme Appendices. 

Philip has also successfully completed many Supplier Quality Audits, Internal Audits, Technical Audits & Compliance Audits on behalf of his clients, including for example: Doncasters PLC, Sheffield Forgemasters, Blackrow Group, Harold Newsome & Hy-Ten.
