There are NO SPECIFIC QUALIFICATION ENTRY REQUIREMENTS, but candidates should be able to perform calculations from straightforward mathematical formulae & to interpret data represented in graphical form.

Candidates are assessed on the course by continuous Assessments & those who achieve the required standard will be awarded a CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT & CPD.

A COMPREHENSIVE, FULL-COLOUR TRAINING HANDBOOK is also provided which also serves as an EXCELLENT REFERENCE document following completion of the course.

SELF STUDY BOOKING FORMS

Courses are completed by SELF STUDY, which provides a FLEXIBLE route for candidates to START & PROGRESS through the training at ANYTIME, ANYWHERE & at their OWN PACE.

Course Fees: £950 per person, inclusive of comprehensive, full-colour Training Handbook(s) & all Assessment & Certification fees. 

During their progression through the SELF STUDY course, the candidate also has the option to request a TUTORIAL SESSION with the COURSE TUTOR of up to 2 HOURS DURATION. The aim of the Session, which would be arranged ONLINE or by PHONE, would be to review any issues the candidate may have on their understanding of the course material.

Philip’s extensive welding knowledge & expertise is endorsed by his academic and professional qualifications in Welding, including professional membership of the Welding Institute (MWeldI) and an International Institute of Welding (IIW) 'Diploma of International Welding Inspector' following the successful completion of CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector training and examinations at the TWI.

Philip also possesses extensive metallurgical and engineering expertise, he has a Masters' Degree in Advanced Metallurgy (MMet) from the University of Sheffield & professional qualifications in Metallurgy & Materials Engineering through professional membership (MIMMM) of The Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining.

Philip is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng), with more than 30 years' experience in metals manufacturing, engineering, welding & fabrication, including 3 years experience working as a CARES Welding Assessor.
