This SELF STUDY training course is suitable for candidates in ALL FUNCTIONS & at ALL LEVELS who are looking to DEVELOP their KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING on the METALLURGY of AEROSPACE ALLOYS.

The course is suitable for candidates in ALL FUNCTIONS & at ALL LEVELS  & would be IDEAL for anyone that is NEW to AEROSPACE ALLOYS METALLURGY as NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE of Metallurgy is required & there are NO SPECIFIC QUALIFICATION ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.

The course would also be IDEAL for Trainees, Students & Apprentices who are looking to increase  their KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS towards undertaking a role as a METALLURGIST.

Developed by PROFESSIONALLY QUALIFIED ACADEMIC & INDUSTRY EXPERTS, this is a COMPREHENSIVE course provides both the ACADEMIC CONTENT and the KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS of INDUSTRY. 

A COMPREHENSIVE, FULL-COLOUR TRAINING HANDBOOK is also provided on the course, which also serves an EXCELLENT REFERENCE document following completion of the training.

Candidates are assessed on the training by continuous Assessments and those who achieve the required standard will be awarded a CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT & CPD 35 HOURS.

The course is divided in to 8 MODULES as follows:

SELF STUDY

The course is completed by SELF STUDY, which provides a FLEXIBLE route for candidates to START & PROGRESS through the training at ANYTIME, ANYWHERE & at their OWN PACE. Total estimated SELF STUDY time required to complete the course is 35 HOURS. The START DATE  for the training would follow receipt of payment of the course fees. All course materials would be posted & e-mailed to the candidate.

TUTOR SUPPORT

During their progression through the SELF STUDY course, the candidate also has the option to request a TUTORIAL SESSION with the COURSE TUTOR of up to 2 HOURS DURATION. The aim of the Session, which would be arranged ONLINE or by PHONE, would be to review any issues the candidate may have on their understanding of the course material.

He has a Master's Degree in Advanced Metallurgy (MMet) from the University of Sheffield and is professionally qualified in Materials Engineering & Metallurgy through professional membership (MIMMM) of The Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3.)  Philip is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and is professionally qualified in Welding through professional membership of the Welding Institute (MWeldI.) 

Philip also possesses more than 30 years' experience in the metals manufacturing, engineering, welding & fabrication industries.
